Quiet Storm secures Cyber Essentials hat-trick

Quiet Storm completed a prestigious hat-trick earlier this year when we achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation for the third year running.

It means we can give all our clients confidence and peace of mind that the digital solutions we provide adhere to the latest cybersecurity standards. Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed scheme that provides businesses with the tools they need to protect their data, networks and digital assets from cyberattack.

It was developed to provide a basic cybersecurity standard for businesses in the UK. In addition, it provides validation that companies that hold it are taking all necessary steps to protect themselves from cyberattack and keeping their customer data safe.

Certification is included as part of the National Cyber Security Strategy, with the primary aim of making the UK a safer place to conduct business online. It enables companies that have achieved it to:

    •    Reassure customers that they have put measures in place to secure their IT against cyberattack
    •    Provide a clear picture of their cybersecurity level
    •    Attract new business with the promise they have independently verified cybersecurity measures in place
    •    Apply for public sector contracts that require Cyber Essentials certification

Amy Heath, our Production Manager, said:

This is the third year that we’ve achieved Cyber Essentials certification, which highlights our firm commitment to this increasingly important area of business. Each year, we’ve had to go through a stringent accreditation process to prove our digital solutions meet best practice guidelines for cybersecurity, so we’re delighted to secure certification for another year.”

An ongoing commitment to cybersecurity

Since its launch in 2014, the Government’s National Cyber Security Centre has helped more than 60,000 UK businesses to protect themselves from the most common cyber threats.

At Quiet Storm, we recognise the ongoing risks posed by cyberattack, with criminals constantly evolving the methods and technologies they use to exploit online vulnerabilities. So, making sure we are up to date with our Cyber Essentials accreditation is a key priority. It gives our clients the peace of mind that we are taking proactive steps to keep the websites and online assets we develop and manage for them safe and secure.

Steve Megson, our Managing Director, said:

“This is the third year running that we’ve achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation. It demonstrates to our clients that we take cybersecurity seriously and ensure that all our digital solutions meet the latest best practice guidelines. Technology moves fast, and as it continues to develop, more businesses are storing data and communicating with each other using online or digital applications.

“This has increased the threat of cyberattack, which can have a devastating effect on businesses that fall victim. Our compliance with Cyber Essentials best practice highlights our ongoing commitment cybersecurity and shows our clients how seriously we take our duty to protect their systems and data.”
