A prominent solution

ProMinent Fluid Controls UK is a specialist metering, water treatment and chemical fluid handling solutions provider.

It offers products, systems, maintenance and repairs for a wide range of fluid control applications. These include metering, water disinfection, micro-pollution removal and treating potable (drinking) water, wastewater, swimming pool water, cooling water and utility water.

With a UK base in Ashby de la Zouch, it serves clients in the chemical, oil and gas, hotel and leisure, food & drink and public service sectors nationwide. It is part of the ProMinent group of companies, a global market leader headquartered in Germany, which operates in more than 100 countries worldwide and employs 2,600 people.

Quiet Storm has worked with ProMinent on several projects over the years, and we were tasked with helping it support the launch of two major new initiatives. These were its new PromCare service and maintenance package for clients and its new ‘plug and play’ Duty System UK (DSUK) metering safety solution.

 

Disrupting the market

These two new ventures represented significant new opportunities in the UK market for ProMinent. PromCare is the firm’s aftersales service and warranty package. Customers can sign up for a one-year, three-year or six-year maintenance plan which includes two health checks and an equipment service each year, parts and labour for any repairs and all relevant documentation.

We worked with ProMinent’s team to scope out the project, understand the requirements, define the message, develop marketing collateral according to its existing brand guidelines, and bring the product to market. As part of the project, we also built a cloud-based PDF quote generator, which enables its engineers to produce a quotation document during site visits, and sign customers up on the spot.

Its DSUK system, meanwhile, is a disruptive new product designed to improve dosing and metering at water utility sites and other fluid handling operations where precision is key. It’s a modular, out of the box, plug and play solution that can be delivered and deployed in just 14 days, helping customers futureproof their standardised metering operations.

Again, we worked closely with ProMinent’s UK team to give them the tools to launch the product into the UK market. We developed the language, imagery and messaging to explain the concept and its features and benefits and created marketing collateral to support its launch and ongoing promotion.
